Everything you think you know about addiction is wrong

I'm changing tack here a little this week. Often a TED talk will come up that might inspire me more than most, in fact I can't think of one yet that hasn't inspired me. But this one, this one really struck a cord. This talk is by Johann Hari, who clearly speaks directly from the heart. I don't think there is anyone who hasn't been personally affected by addiction in some form or another. Whether it's us, a friend, or a family member. This talk was such an enlightening look at what we think we know, and it turns a great deal of it on it's head. Not only is this talk gentle but strong in it's message it's also a view that I personally have never heard before.

This talk I know will leave you with the feeling that you want to immediately pass this onto someone, or perhaps just sit with it quietly and let its message infuse into your consciousness. Whatever you choose to do, I'm sharing it with you because I know someone you know, or even you, needed to hear it today.
